「祈」は、平和や幸運、愛などの意味を持つ“祈りの手”をテーマにした作品です。
その手は神仏に祈りを捧げるときだけでなく、懺悔をするときにも合わせられます。
無力な自分を嘆きながらも、静かに平穏を願う姿を表現しました。
作品に描かれた花は、平和と希望の花言葉を持つ“雛菊（デイジー）”。
日本の国旗をモチーフにした赤と白の色合いで構成し、
「この国に再び穏やかな日々が訪れるように」という祈りを込めています。
災害の多い日本で、何もできない無力さを感じながら、
それでも誰かの無事と復興を願う――。
そんな「祈ることしかできない自分自身の行為」を形にしました。
高精度な印刷の上に厚さ5mmの高透明アクリル板を貼り合わせ、
奥行きと立体感をもたせています。
アクリルの層が生む深みが、作品に静かな存在感を与え、
見る角度によって異なる表情を見せます。

“Prayer” is a piece centered on the motif of praying hands,
a universal symbol of peace, fortune, and love.
These hands are not only brought together in devotion to gods or Buddha,
but also in moments of repentance.
The work expresses a quiet figure—lamenting one’s own helplessness,
yet still wishing for peace.
The flowers depicted are daisies, symbols of peace and hope.
Rendered in red and white inspired by the Japanese flag,
they carry a wish: that calm and peaceful days may once again return to this country.
In a land often struck by natural disasters,
there are moments when we feel powerless—
and yet, we continue to pray for the safety and recovery of others.
This piece embodies that act itself:
the quiet, human act of “being able to do nothing but pray.”
A high-definition print is layered with a 5mm-thick, highly transparent acrylic panel,
creating depth and a three-dimensional presence.
